A Path Less Traveled
Five interior plaques honor Caroline Dorman – a native naturalist and conservationist whose work created the Katachi National Forest in Louisiana. She fought to save the old growth longleaf pines. These five “trees” become a sheltering place for students to sit and relax, meet a friend or be in an outdoor classroom. The five trees are lit at night from within lighting the plaques and highlighting the 6,000 stainless-steel "needles."
